Church of St.Francis of Assissi was built in 1517 with its entrance and the choir built in Manueline style. It is the only piece of its kind in the East with its interior ornamented with exquisite paintings. The floor of this church has numerous tombstones intricately designed with coats-of-arms. There is an Archaeological Museum in the adjoining convent.
